1 Tbsp canola oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup tomato puree
3/4 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup water
6 Tbsp brown sugar
6 Tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup tomato paste
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 to 4 tsp celery salt
1 Tbsp prepared yellow mustard
1 Tbsp fresh ground black pepper
1 Tbsp corn syrup
1 Tbsp liquid hickory smoke
Saute onion and garlic in oil until soft. Mix in remaining ingredients and cook until it thickens, about 30 minutes. If you want it thinner add water.
